Carlos Alcaraz Garfia (born 5 May 2003) is a Spanish tennis prodigy who has reached world No. 1 and won 26 ATP titles, including seven majors. He burst onto the scene in 2022 by winning the US Open and becoming the youngest man in Open Era history to top the rankings at just 19 years old. He followed this with a Wimbledon title in 2023, defeating Novak Djokovic, and then won the French Open and defended Wimbledon in 2024. In 2025, he beat Jannik Sinner to win the French Open and also claimed the US Open, finishing as year-end No. 1. His crowning achievement came in 2026 when he won the Australian Open, becoming the youngest man ever to complete the career Grand Slam at 22 years old. Known for his aggressive shotmaking, Alcaraz started playing at age four, guided by his father, a tennis coach.
