Buyunchaokete (born 19 January 2002), nicknamed "Bert", is a rising Chinese tennis player from a Mongolian family in Xinjiang who has climbed to a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 64 (April 2025). After his father's death, he was sent to an SOS Children's Village in Urumqi, where he was discovered by coach Luo Yong in 2007 and began training in Huzhou, Zhejiang. He won his maiden Challenger title at the 2023 Seoul Open and made his Grand Slam debut at the 2024 US Open, but his true breakthrough came later that year when he reached the semifinals at both the Hangzhou Open and the China Open, defeating top-10 players like Andrey Rublev and becoming the first Chinese man to reach an ATP 500 semifinal. His historic all-Chinese semifinal against Zhang Zhizhen in Hangzhou helped him break into the top 100 in September 2024, and he has since solidified his status as China's No. 2 male player. Notably, his name is officially one word—Buyunchaokete—though it is often displayed as "Bu Yunchaokete" on ATP and ITF websites.
