Brian Austin Green (born July 15, 1973) is an American actor who rose to fame portraying David Silver on the iconic teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000). Before that, he played Brian Cunningham on the soap opera Knots Landing (1986–1989), and his casting on 90210 was famously influenced by producer Aaron Spelling noticing their similar personalities, with the character's hip-hop and DJ interests mirroring Green's own. In 1996, he briefly dropped "Austin" from his name to attempt a rap career, releasing the album One Stop Carnival. Later, he starred as Derek Reese in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008–2009) and held regular roles on shows like Freddie, Wedding Band, and Anger Management. Off-screen, he began dating Megan Fox in 2004 after a cameo on Hope & Faith, and the couple later married, with Green also making a memorable Saturday Night Live appearance alongside her in 2009.
