FanDuel Sports Network Southwest is a Texas-based regional sports network owned by Main Street Sports Group, broadcasting professional and collegiate events across the South Central United States. It launched on January 4, 1983, as Home Sports Entertainment (HSE), making it one of the first regional sports networks in North America. After a 1994 acquisition by Liberty Media, it became Prime Sports Southwest, and then rebranded to Fox Sports Southwest in 1996 when News Corp took a 50% stake. The channel has been the home for major teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Stars, and it introduced a high-definition feed in 2007. Following a blocked Disney acquisition in 2018, Sinclair Broadcast Group and Entertainment Studios bought the network in 2019 for $10.6 billion, eventually leading to its current FanDuel branding.
