Nathan Fillion (born March 27, 1971, in Edmonton) is a celebrated Canadian-American actor who rose to fame as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in the cult-favorite series Firefly and its film continuation Serenity. He later became a household name starring as Richard Castle in the hit series Castle and currently leads The Rookie as John Nolan, where he also serves as an executive producer on the show and its spin-offs. Beyond live-action, Fillion boasts an extensive voice acting career, lending his voice to major video games like Halo and Destiny, as well as portraying Green Lantern in DC animated films.
