Lamine Camara

Lamine Camara (born 1 January 2004) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chelsea and the Senegal national team. After developing in Dakar with Galaxy FA and Génération Foot, he joined French club Metz in February 2023, where he made headlines by scoring a spectacular 58-metre goal from his own half against Monaco in October 2023. Following Metz's relegation, he transferred to Monaco in July 2024 for €15 million, making his UEFA Champions League debut against Barcelona that September. On the international stage, Camara was a key figure in Senegal's 2022 African Nations Championship triumph, scoring in the final's penalty shootout, and was named Player of the Tournament at the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations as Senegal won with a perfect record. He made his senior debut in September 2023, scoring against South Sudan, and later netted twice in Senegal's opening match at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against The Gambia.
