Thea Frodin

Thea Frodin (born December 17, 2008) is a rising American tennis player from Southern California who currently holds a WTA singles ranking of No. 580 and a doubles ranking of No. 710 as of August 2026. She made her mark in junior tennis by finishing as runner-up at the Orange Bowl in December 2023 and reaching the girls' doubles final at Wimbledon 2025 with Julieta Pareja. Partnering with Kristina Penickova, she won the USTA U18s National Championships in August 2025, earning a wildcard into the main draw of the 2025 US Open. Her finest major junior singles result came at the 2026 Australian Open, where she advanced to the semifinals before falling to Ekaterina Tupitsyna. With a Swedish father and a French mother who grew up in Gabon, Frodin holds dual citizenship with Sweden, adding to her international profile. Away from tennis, she famously portrayed a young Serena Williams in the 2021 biographical film King Richard, starring Will Smith.
