Elias Ymer (born 10 April 1996) is a Swedish tennis player who currently holds the No. 1 ranking in his country, with a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 105, achieved in June 2018. Born in Skara to Ethiopian immigrant parents, he is the older brother of fellow tennis player Mikael Ymer and was coached by Robin Söderling from 2017 to 2018. In 2015, Ymer made history by qualifying for the main draw of all four Grand Slams in a single year, becoming only the second man to do so (after Frank Dancevic in 2011). He won his maiden ATP doubles title with his brother at the 2016 Stockholm Open and later secured his first Grand Slam main draw match win at the 2018 French Open. In 2022, he reached his first ATP singles semifinal at the Maharashtra Open, defeating World No. 15 Aslan Karatsev for his first top-20 win. Off the court, he was accepted into Harvard Business School's "Crossover into Business" program in 2022, and he continued to compete, qualifying for the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.
