Alexander Jeffrey McFarlane (born June 9, 2001) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. Hailing from Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, he played college baseball at the University of Miami before being drafted by the Phillies in the fourth round of the 2022 MLB draft. After missing the entire 2024 season due to Tommy John surgery, he returned in 2025 and was added to the Phillies' 40-man roster in November to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. In 2026, he was briefly promoted to the majors in April without appearing in a game, earning the "phantom ballplayer" label before being sent back down. He was called up again on July 20 and made his MLB debut on July 22, 2026, pitching an inning of relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
