Michael Conforto, nicknamed "Scooter," is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Chicago Cubs, having previously played for the New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Los Angeles Dodgers. After a stellar college career at Oregon State University—where he was a two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year and set a single-season RBI record—the Mets selected him 10th overall in the 2014 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2015, earned an All-Star nod in 2017, and was named to the All-MLB Second Team in 2020. Following free agency in 2021, a shoulder injury sidelined him for the entire 2022 season, but he returned to sign with the Giants (2023), Dodgers (2025), and Cubs (2026). Before his pro career, Conforto played in the Little League World Series in 2004 and was a standout two-sport athlete in high school, excelling in both baseball and football.
