Drew Patrick Allar (born March 8, 2004) is an American professional football quarterback who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round (76th overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft after a standout college career at Penn State. A native of Medina, Ohio, he was a prolific high school passer, amassing 9,103 passing yards and 98 touchdowns while earning Ohio Mr. Football honors as a senior. Initially rated a three-star recruit, he was later re-rated as a five-star prospect by 247Sports before joining the Nittany Lions as an early enrollee in 2022. His college career was tragically cut short on October 11, 2025, when he suffered a season-ending ankle injury against Northwestern—an injury that also ended his college eligibility due to NCAA medical redshirt rules. Notably, the Steelers acquired the draft pick used to select him from the Dallas Cowboys in the trade involving George Pickens, making Allar a key piece of their future quarterback plans.
