Taylor Trammell (born September 13, 1997) is an American professional baseball outfielder currently playing for the Houston Astros, having previously suited up for the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees. A standout two-sport athlete in high school in Georgia—where he rushed for 2,500 yards and 38 touchdowns in football while hitting .463 with 29 steals in baseball—he was drafted 35th overall by the Cincinnati Reds in 2016. After being traded to the Padres in 2019 and then to the Mariners in 2020, he made his MLB debut with Seattle in 2021, and he notably won the All-Star Futures Game MVP in 2018 for his go-ahead home run. However, he has struggled to find consistency at the major league level, posting a .160 batting average in his rookie season and a .196 mark in 2022. His 2023 campaign was further hampered by surgery to repair a broken hamate bone in his right hand, though he has continued his career with the Astros.
