John Owen Lowe (born November 6, 1995) is an American writer, producer, and actor, best known as the son of actor Rob Lowe and make-up artist Sheryl Berkoff. After graduating from Stanford University in 2018, he built his career with roles in The Grinder and The Lowe Files, while also writing for 9-1-1: Lone Star. In March 2023, he co-created, executive produced, and starred in the Netflix comedy Unstable alongside his father, a series directly inspired by their real-life relationship, which returned for a second season in August 2024. He further expanded his filmography as an actor and producer on the psychological thriller Grace Point in January 2025. Off-screen, Lowe is a keen pianist, has maintained a sober lifestyle since 2018, and purchased a Sherman Oaks home in 2023 that previously belonged to dancer Derek Hough.
