Frankie Muniz (born December 5, 1985, in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey) is an American actor and professional stock car racing driver. He rose to fame as the titular character in the hit Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), earning an Emmy nomination and two Golden Globe nods, while also starring in popular films like Big Fat Liar (2002) and Agent Cody Banks (2003). Raised in North Carolina after his family moved there when he was four, he was discovered at age eight at a local talent show and later relocated to California, where he was homeschooled by his mother. In 2008, Muniz put his acting career on hold to pursue open-wheel racing, competing in the Atlantic Championship. He returned to racing in 2021, and in 2023 he finished fourth in the ARCA Menards Series standings; he now competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 33 Ford F-150 for Team Reaume.
