Jameis Winston, born in Bessemer, Alabama, in 1994, is an NFL quarterback who currently plays for the New York Giants. He became a college football legend at Florida State, winning the Heisman Trophy as a freshman in 2013—the youngest player ever to do so—and leading his team to a BCS National Championship in 2014. Selected first overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2015 NFL Draft, he earned Pro Bowl honors as a rookie and led the league in passing yards in 2019, though that same season he also led the league in interceptions and set an NFL record for pick-sixes. After failing to reach the playoffs with Tampa Bay, he played for the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns before joining the Giants in 2025. Known by the nickname "Famous Jameis", he was also drafted by the Texas Rangers in baseball before committing to football.
