Nelly Korda (born July 28, 1998) is an American professional golfer on the LPGA Tour, widely regarded as one of the sport's dominant forces with four major championship victories—including the 2021 Women's PGA Championship, the 2024 and 2026 Chevron Championships, and the 2026 U.S. Women's Open. She made history at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics by becoming the first American woman to win individual golf gold since 1900, and has spent over 100 weeks as world number one, finishing the year atop the rankings in both 2021 and 2024. In 2024, Korda achieved a remarkable feat by becoming only the third player ever to win five consecutive LPGA Tour events, a streak capped by her second major, before being named LPGA Tour Player of the Year. Turning professional in 2016, she secured her first LPGA victory in 2018 and has accumulated 19 LPGA titles, while also helping the U.S. win the 2024 Solheim Cup. Korda comes from a remarkable athletic family—her father Petr won the 1998 Australian Open in tennis, her brother Sebastian is a top-ten tennis player, and her sister Jessica is a fellow LPGA golfer, with whom she made history in 2019 as the first sisters to pair up in a Solheim Cup match.
