The Southeast Region is one of ten U.S. divisions competing in the Little League World Series, tracing its roots back to 1957 as the South Region before being split into the Southeast and Southwest in 2001 when the tournament expanded from 8 to 16 teams. Representing eight states—Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia—the region has held its tournament in Warner Robins, Georgia, since 2010, after previously hosting in St. Petersburg, Florida. The region has produced three World Series champions: Columbus (2006), Warner Robins (2007), and Lake Mary (2024). The tournament employs a modified double-elimination format, culminating in a single winner-take-all championship game regardless of prior losses. A notable controversy occurred when Peachtree City National Little League of Georgia was stripped of its state title for fielding twelve 12-year-old players, exceeding the league's maximum of eight.
