The Baltimore Orioles are a professional baseball team in Major League Baseball's American League East Division, with a lineage tracing back to the 1901 Milwaukee Brewers and a 52-year stint as the St. Louis Browns before relocating to Baltimore in 1953 under the ownership of civic leaders. Today, they play at Oriole Park at Camden Yards (opened in 1992) and are currently owned by David Rubenstein. Their golden era spanned 1966–1983, during which they captured three World Series titles (1966, 1970, and 1983) and featured legends like Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer, Eddie Murray, and Cal Ripken Jr., all under manager Earl Weaver. After winning seven pennants and ten division titles overall, the team endured a long slump—including 14 straight losing seasons (1998–2011) and a franchise-record 115 losses in 2018—before rebounding spectacularly with a 101–61 record in 2023 to win the AL East for the first time since 2014. Now led by manager Craig Albernaz and GM Mike Elias, the "O's" continue their pursuit of a fourth championship in their modern era.
