Shailene Woodley (born November 15, 1991) is an American actress who first gained fame as Amy Juergens in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008–2013). She earned a Golden Globe nomination for The Descendants (2011) and became a household name starring in The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and the Divergent trilogy (2014–2016), as well as receiving an Emmy nomination for Big Little Lies (2017–2019). Her later film credits include Snowden, Adrift, The Mauritanian, Ferrari, and To Catch a Killer (2023), and she made her Broadway debut in Cult of Love (2024), winning a Theater World Award. Beyond acting, Woodley is a dedicated environmental activist, serving as a Greenpeace Oceans Ambassador and co-founding the nonprofit All It Takes.
