Andy Dalton (born October 29, 1987), nicknamed "the Red Rifle", starred at TCU, where he set the school record for quarterback wins and capped his college career with a perfect 13-0 season and a Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin in 2011. Drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft, he immediately paired with receiver A.J. Green to set rookie records, leading the team to five straight playoff appearances (2011-2015) and earning three Pro Bowl selections while setting multiple franchise passing records. Despite his regular-season success, Dalton went winless in the playoffs, and after four consecutive losing seasons, he was released by the Bengals in 2020. He subsequently spent single seasons as a starter/backup with the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints before joining the Carolina Panthers in 2023. After three seasons with the Panthers, he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2026, continuing his lengthy NFL career as a veteran quarterback.
