Viktor Hovland (born 18 September 1997) is a Norwegian professional golfer who has made history as the first Norwegian to win on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. As an amateur, he won the 2018 U.S. Amateur and achieved low-amateur honors at both the 2019 Masters and U.S. Open, setting a U.S. Open record with a 280 total that broke Jack Nicklaus's 1960 mark. Turning professional in 2019, he claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open and his first European Tour win at the 2021 BMW International Open. His career highlights include eight PGA Tour wins, most notably the 2023 Tour Championship, which secured his first FedEx Cup, and a rise to world No. 3. He also represented Norway at the 2020 and 2024 Olympics and became the first Norwegian Ryder Cup player in 2021.
