Elijah Heidenreich (born July 28, 2003) is an American professional football running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected him in the seventh round (230th overall) of the 2026 NFL draft after a standout college career at Navy. A native of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, he led his high school team to a state championship as a senior with 54 catches for 1,325 yards and 28 touchdowns. At Navy, he developed into a dual-threat weapon, rushing for 444 yards and catching 39 passes for 671 yards in 2024, but truly exploded in 2025. During that season, he set Navy records for receiving yards in a single game (243) and career receiving touchdowns, ultimately breaking the school's all-time receiving yards record (surpassing Rob Taylor) while earning an invitation to the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl. Notably, Heidenreich has committed to serving in the United States Marine Corps after his football career, though he will have limited military obligations while playing in the NFL.
