Eugenio Suárez

Eugenio Suárez is a Venezuelan professional baseball third baseman who has played for the Tigers, Reds, Mariners, and Diamondbacks, earning two All-Star selections. He is best known for hitting 49 home runs in both 2019 and 2025, the most ever by a Venezuelan-born player in a single season. Suárez debuted with the Detroit Tigers in 2014 after signing in 2008, but was traded to the Cincinnati Reds that winter, where he signed a seven-year, $66 million extension in 2018. In 2019, he had a breakout year, leading the NL in strikeouts but also smashing 49 homers. On April 26, 2025, he became the 19th player in MLB history to hit four home runs in a single game while with the Diamondbacks. After being traded back to Seattle in July 2025, he signed with the Reds for the 2026 season.
