Ha-Seong Kim is a South Korean professional baseball infielder who currently plays for the Atlanta Braves, having previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres and Tampa Bay Rays, as well as in the KBO League for the Nexen Heroes. Drafted 41st overall in the 2014 KBO Draft, he rose to stardom in South Korea by winning the KBO League Golden Glove Award in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Kim made the leap to Major League Baseball by signing with the Padres in December 2020 and made his MLB debut in 2021. In a historic achievement, he became the first Korean-born player to win a Gold Glove Award in 2023, cementing his reputation as a versatile defensive standout.
