Jonathan Kuminga

Jonathan Kuminga (born October 6, 2002) is a Congolese basketball star who moved to the U.S. at age 14, emerging as a consensus five-star recruit and the top small forward in the 2021 high school class. Rather than playing in college, he reclassified to the 2020 class and joined the NBA G League Ignite, where he averaged 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. The Golden State Warriors drafted him with the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, and he made his NBA debut in October 2021. In his rookie season, he impressed in the Rising Stars Challenge and won an NBA championship in 2022 with the Warriors, becoming the second-youngest champion in league history at just 19 years and 253 days old. Most recently, he played for the Atlanta Hawks, capping off a rapid rise from Congolese prodigy to NBA titleholder.
