Bryan Joseph Woo (born January 30, 2000) is a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, who made his MLB debut in 2023 and earned selections to the All-Star Game and All-MLB second team in 2025. After growing eight inches during high school, he transitioned from an infielder to a pitcher at Alameda High School, later attending Cal Poly and undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2021. He was drafted by the Mariners in the sixth round of the 2021 MLB draft, and, after recovering from surgery and surviving a line drive to his face in 2022, he debuted on June 3, 2023 against the Rangers. In 2024, despite injuries (elbow inflammation and a hamstring strain), Woo posted a historic 1.07 ERA over his first six starts—the lowest to begin a season in Mariners history—and finished the year 9-3 with a 2.89 ERA and 101 strikeouts. He also led all MLB starters in 2024, walking just 2.6% of batters faced, proving his exceptional control and establishing himself as a top young arm.
