Sage Moonblood Stallone (May 5, 1976 – July 13, 2012) was an American actor and the eldest son of Sylvester Stallone, making his film debut alongside his father in Rocky V (1990) as Robert Balboa Jr. He later appeared in Daylight (1996) and low-budget exploitation films, but also co-founded Grindhouse Releasing in 1996 to restore and preserve cult cinema. In 2006, he wrote, produced, and directed his own film Vic, which earned him a "Best New Filmmaker" award at the Boston Film Festival. His final roles were in Vincent Gallo's Promises Written in Water and The Agent, screened at the 2010 Venice and Toronto film festivals. Stallone died at his Los Angeles home on July 13, 2012, at age 36; the coroner attributed his death to coronary artery disease from atherosclerosis, with no illicit drugs found, and he was interred at Westwood Village Memorial Park.
