JD Vance, the 50th Vice President of the United States since 2025 and a former Ohio senator with service as a U.S. Marine Corps journalist, has roots in Appalachian Kentucky and is married to Usha Vance (née Chilukuri), born in 1986 to Telugu Indian immigrants and a Yale Law graduate, with whom he married on June 14, 2014.
