The 2025–26 season marked Ipswich Town's 148th campaign, spent back in the Championship after being relegated from the Premier League. The season ended in triumph on 2 May 2026, when a 3–0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Portman Road secured immediate promotion back to the Premier League after just one year away. A notable sponsorship change saw Ed Sheeran's tour branding replaced by HaloITSM on the front of the shirt, while the singer's hot sauce brand, Tingly's Ted, became the new sleeve sponsor. In the cup competitions, Town entered the FA Cup in the third round against Blackpool (before facing Wrexham in the fourth), and started their EFL Cup run in the first round away at Bromley. Pre-season preparations featured friendlies against Austrian side FC Blau-Weiß Linz, Scottish club Aberdeen, French side Auxerre, and fellow Championship side Charlton Athletic. The league fixtures were released on 26 June 2025, setting the stage for a successful first season back in the second tier.
