FK Bodø/Glimt

Bodø/Glimt is a Norwegian professional football club from Bodø, founded in 1916, and has become a dominant force in the country's top division, Eliteserien. They have won the national championship four times (in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024), and were the first team from northern Norway to capture a national title, winning the Norwegian Cup in 1975. In recent years, the club has made historic strides on the European stage, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022 and the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League in 2025—the first Norwegian club to ever advance to a European semi-final. That same year, they became the northernmost club to qualify for the UEFA Champions League league phase, going on to reach the round of 16. Originally named Glimt, the club adopted its current name in 1948 and played a key role in breaking down barriers, as northern teams were excluded from the national cup until 1963 and the top division until 1972.
