Daniel Diemer (born 21 June 1996) is a Canadian actor best known for his lead role as Paul in the Netflix film The Half of It and as Tyson in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Originally an aspiring athlete, his sports career was derailed by a growth spurt and a back injury, leading him through pre-med studies and art modeling before he graduated from the Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2016. After a slow start with no roles in his first two years of auditions, he landed his breakthrough in The Half of It (2020), beating out over 600 other actors for the part, which won Best Narrative Feature at the 2020 Tribeca Festival. He will appear as Tyson in season two of Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2025) and is set to play hockey enforcer Ryan Price in season 2 of Heated Rivalry in April 2027. His earlier credits include roles in The Man in the High Castle and Sacred Lies.
