Vince Young (born May 18, 1983) was a star quarterback in the NFL, primarily playing for the Tennessee Titans after a legendary college career at the University of Texas. He won the Maxwell, Davey O'Brien, and Manning awards in 2005, leading the Longhorns to victory in the 2006 Rose Bowl, and was drafted 3rd overall in 2006. As a rookie, he earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and a Pro Bowl selection, but a second Pro Bowl nod in 2009 didn't prevent his release in 2010 due to conflicts with management, after which he briefly backed up for the Philadelphia Eagles. Young's early life was marked by hardship, including a near-fatal bicycle accident at age seven, which he credits for making him tougher, and a childhood surrounded by gang violence in Houston. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019 for his outstanding collegiate achievements.
