Dana Allen Brown (born February 19, 1967) is an American baseball executive currently serving as the general manager of the Houston Astros. Before his executive career, he played college baseball at Seton Hall University alongside future MLB stars like Mo Vaughn and Craig Biggio, and was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1989, spending three seasons in their minor league system. He then transitioned into scouting and front office roles, working for the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Atlanta Braves, where he rose to vice president of scouting. The Astros hired him as general manager on January 26, 2023. On December 13, 2024, he completed one of the most significant trades in franchise history, sending three-time All-Star Kyle Tucker to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for infielder Isaac Paredes, pitcher Hayden Wesneski, and third base prospect Cam Smith.
