Kirk Edward Herbstreit (born 1969) is a highly acclaimed American sportscaster and former college football quarterback, renowned for his insightful analysis. He currently serves as a lead analyst for ESPN's College GameDay and provides color commentary for college football on ESPN/ABC, alongside NFL Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, earning five Sports Emmy Awards for his broadcasting excellence.
Prior to his illustrious broadcasting career, Herbstreit quarterbacked the Ohio State Buckeyes from 1989 to 1993, becoming a co-captain and team MVP in his senior 1992 season, where he set a record for pass completions against rival Michigan.
