Amazon Prime Video is a major global subscription video-on-demand streaming service owned by Amazon, primarily featuring Amazon Originals from Amazon MGM Studios alongside licensed films, TV series, live sports, and various content add-ons. Initially launched in the U.S. as Amazon Unbox in September 2006, it has grown to become the second-most-subscribed VOD service in the United States, reaching approximately 205 million paid memberships worldwide.

The service, which can be accessed either standalone or bundled with an Amazon Prime subscription, significantly expanded its international presence by launching globally in December 2016, following earlier integrations with Prime in regions like the UK in 2014 after the acquisition of LoveFilm. Beyond its core library, Prime Video offers additional subscriptions through "Amazon Channels" and solidified its industry standing by joining the Motion Picture Association (MPA) in October 2024.
