Olivia Rodrigo (born February 20, 2003) is an American singer-songwriter and actress who rose to fame playing lead roles in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark (2016–2019) and the Disney+ hit High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019–2022) before shifting her focus to music.

After signing with Geffen Records in 2020, her debut single "Drivers License" (2021) broke Spotify's daily streaming record and topped the Billboard Hot 100, paving the way for her chart-topping debut album Sour (2021) and its second number-one single "Good 4 U".

Her next two albums, Guts (2023) and You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love (2026), produced the number-one singles "Vampire" and "Drop Dead," making her the first artist in history to have the lead single from each of her first three albums debut atop the chart.

Rodrigo's work has earned her three Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards, and she has been named Time's Entertainer of the Year (2021) and Billboard's Woman of the Year (2022).

Born in Murrieta, California, she is of Filipino and German-Irish descent, was born half-deaf in her left ear, and grew up in Temecula, where she was inspired to write songs by country music legend Taylor Swift before attending acting lessons in Los Angeles.
