Aaron Pierre (born 7 June 1994 in London) is a British actor and model of Curaçaoan, Jamaican, and Sierra Leonean ancestry, who trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and first gained critical notice for his stage work, including a commendation for Othello at Shakespeare's Globe. His television breakthrough came as Dev-Em in Krypton (2018–2019), and he later impressed audiences as Caesar in Barry Jenkins' The Underground Railroad (2021) and in M. Night Shyamalan's Old (2021). He had a massive breakout year in 2024, portraying Malcolm X in Genius, starring as the action hero Terry Richmond in Netflix's Rebel Ridge, and voicing young Mufasa in the animated prequel Mufasa: The Lion King. That same year, he was cast as John Stewart/Green Lantern in DC Studios' upcoming series Lanterns, and in 2025 he was announced for the Star Wars film Starfighter alongside Amy Adams and Ryan Gosling. Off-screen, Pierre has a son, practices boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (winning a tournament in 2023), and briefly dated singer Teyana Taylor in 2025 before their reported split.
