Denny Hamlin (born November 18, 1980) is a prominent American stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 11 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, and co-owns 23XI Racing alongside basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. Boasting 64 NASCAR Cup Series victories, his most notable wins include the Daytona 500 in 2016, 2019, and 2020, making him one of only five drivers in history to win that race in back-to-back seasons. Widely regarded as the greatest driver to never win a championship, Hamlin holds the record for the most wins without securing a title, though he has reached the playoffs in 19 of 20 seasons, missing only in 2013 due to a collision-related injury. He burst onto the scene in 2006 with a stellar rookie year, finishing third overall and capturing Rookie of the Year honors. His racing career began with go-karts at age seven, progressed through Late Model Stock Cars in Virginia, and culminated in his first Cup Series victory at Pocono Raceway in 2006 after signing with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2004.
