Diem Brown

Danielle "Diem" Brown (June 12, 1980 – November 14, 2014) was an American television personality, philanthropist, and entertainment reporter, best known for her recurring role on MTV's The Challenge. She debuted on the show in 2006 during Fresh Meat, where she courageously revealed her ovarian cancer diagnosis to the cast—and later won hearts by removing her wig during a competition on The Duel. Beyond TV, she founded MedGift, a non-profit web service that provided gift registries and support for patients, and she worked as a reporter for Fox News, People.com, and the Associated Press. Her on-and-off romance with fellow contestant Chris "CT" Tamburello became a central storyline, with the couple competing together on Battle of the Exes and Exes II. After six years of remission, her cancer returned in June 2012; she bravely delayed treatment to harvest eggs, went into remission again, but sadly passed away on November 14, 2014, leaving a legacy of advocacy and resilience.
