Big Hit Music: From Entertainment to Global Powerhouse

Big Hit Music, a leading South Korean record label, was founded as Big Hit Entertainment in 2005 by producer Bang Si-hyuk. It achieved global prominence with the debut of the phenomenal boy group BTS on June 13, 2013, and later launched another successful act, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), in 2019. In a significant transformation, Big Hit Entertainment rebranded as Hybe Corporation in March 2021, with its music division continuing as Big Hit Music, an independent label under the new parent company.

Currently, Big Hit Music manages top artists including BTS, TXT, and soloist Lee Hyun, while also having managed groups like 8Eight and co-managed 2AM in the past. The label further expanded its international influence by forming a strategic partnership with Universal Music Group in 2021, impacting global distribution and fostering new ventures. Beyond its musical endeavors, Big Hit has also demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy, making notable donations to causes like the Black Lives Matter movement.
