Emmett Johnson (born October 10, 2003) is an American professional football running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, having been selected in the fifth round (156th overall) of the 2026 NFL draft. A standout at Academy of Holy Angels in Minnesota, he was named the 2021 Minnesota Mr. Football after rushing for 2,484 yards and 42 touchdowns as a senior. At Nebraska, he blossomed, recording 598 rushing yards and 286 receiving yards during the 2024 season before taking over as the starter in 2025, where he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and the Big Ten Running Back of the Year award. He declared for the draft on December 5, 2025, and was subsequently picked by the Chiefs to bolster their backfield. His dual-threat production and stellar 2025 campaign make him a promising addition to Kansas City's offense.
