Bryce Harper

Bryce Harper, born in 1992, is a standout American baseball star who currently plays first base and the outfield for the Philadelphia Phillies, having been famously drafted first overall by the Washington Nationals in 2010. After dominating junior college ball with a historic 31-homer season and winning the 2010 Golden Spikes Award, he made his MLB debut in 2012 at just 19 years old, quickly becoming the youngest position player ever to play in an All-Star Game.

He won the 2012 NL Rookie of the Year, then achieved a unanimous 2015 NL MVP at age 23—the youngest player to win that award—before signing a then-record-breaking 13-year, $330 million contract with the Phillies in 2019. Harper won his second MVP award in 2021, and the following year he was instrumental in leading the Phillies to their first World Series pennant in 11 years, earning the NLCS MVP title in the process. Since April 2022, he has successfully transitioned from an outfielder to a first baseman, solidifying his legacy as one of baseball's most impactful players.
