Club Independiente Santa Fe, commonly known as Santa Fe, is a top-tier Colombian football club based in Bogotá, widely regarded as one of the nation's most successful and historic teams. The club has won twenty titles in total, including ten national championships (the most recent in 2025), alongside international honors like the Copa Sudamericana, the Suruga Bank Championship, and the Copa Simón Bolívar. Santa Fe made history as the first Colombian team to win the Copa Sudamericana and, in 2015, was ranked the seventh-best club in the world by the IFFHS—the highest-ranked South American team that year. Founded on February 28, 1941, by alumni of the Gimnasio Moderno, the club made an immediate impact by winning the very first Colombian professional league title in 1948. The team shares the El Campín stadium with its fierce rivals Millonarios, and their clashes, known as El Clásico Bogotano, are considered one of South America's most famous derbies.
