Armando González Alba, nicknamed "La Hormiga" (The Ant), is a rising Mexican professional footballer currently playing as a forward for Olympiacos and the Mexico national team. After making his Liga MX debut with Guadalajara in January 2024, he broke out during the Apertura 2025 tournament, scoring a hat-trick against rivals Atlas, finishing as joint-top scorer with 12 goals, and earning the Most Valuable Player award. He repeated the MVP achievement in the Clausura 2026 tournament before transferring to Greek club Olympiacos in August 2026. Internationally, he debuted for Mexico in November 2025, scored his first goal against Iceland in February 2026, and was selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on home soil, though his playing time was limited to just 14 minutes.
