The Economic Times is a prominent Indian English-language business daily published by The Times Group, focusing primarily on India's economy, international finance, stock markets, and commodity prices. Launched in 1961 under founding editor P. S. Hariharan, it grew to become the world's second-most-read English-language business newspaper after The Wall Street Journal, boasting a daily readership of over 800,000 by 2012. Currently edited by Bodhisattva Ganguli, the paper is simultaneously printed across 19 major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.
