Nilson Angulo (born 19 June 2003) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Sunderland. He began his senior career at LDU Quito, winning the Supercopa Ecuador in 2021, before moving to Belgian side Anderlecht in June 2022. After scoring his first goal for Anderlecht against Club Brugge in February 2024, Angulo transferred to Sunderland on a four-and-a-half-year deal in February 2026. On the international stage, he made his senior debut for Ecuador in October 2021 and featured in the 2023 U-20 World Cup. Selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he became a national hero on 25 June 2026 by scoring and earning Man of the Match honors in a 2–1 victory over Germany, which secured Ecuador's place in the knockout stage.
