S.W.A.T. Exiles is an upcoming American action drama spin-off of the 2017 series S.W.A.T., starring Shemar Moore as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson. After a high-profile mission goes sideways, Hondo is pulled from forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental unit of unpredictable young recruits, forcing a generational clash between Gen X and Gen Z. With Jason Ning as showrunner, Sony Pictures Television fast-tracked the project in May 2025 following the original's final cancellation, ordering ten episodes to keep Moore, the soundstages, and over 200 crew members together. The cast includes Ronen Rubinstein, Freddy Miyares, and Zyra Gorecki, with original stars Jay Harrington and Patrick St. Esprit returning as guests. The series is set to premiere on Starz on September 25, 2026, and has already been renewed for a second season as of August 2026.
