Karoline Claire Leavitt, born in 1997, is an American political spokesperson slated to become the 36th White House press secretary in 2025 under the second Trump administration, making her the youngest individual to ever hold the prominent position. After graduating from Saint Anselm College in 2019, where she studied politics and communication, Leavitt swiftly began her career in Washington, D.C.
She served in Donald Trump's first White House, initially in the Office of Presidential Correspondence, before becoming an assistant White House press secretary by June 2020. Following the 2020 election, Leavitt worked as a communications director and in July 2021 launched an unsuccessful bid for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Hampshire's 1st congressional district.
A staunch supporter of Donald Trump, she later served as a spokeswoman for his super PAC, MAGA Inc., and then as the press secretary for his 2024 presidential campaign. Her dedicated work culminated in her historic appointment in November 2024, signaling a new generation of leadership in the White House press office.
