Andrea Paolo Mario Dotti (1938–2007) was an Italian psychiatrist-neurologist and a full professor at the Sapienza University of Rome, recognized for his research on eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia, as well as his work on psychiatric pharmacology. He is most widely remembered as the second husband of Audrey Hepburn, whom he met in June 1968 on a yacht and married on 18 January 1969. The couple had a son, Luca, born on 8 February 1970, but the marriage was turbulent due to Dotti's affairs with younger women, eventually ending in divorce in 1982. He died in Rome on 30 September 2007 from complications following a bowel operation, having come from a wealthy aristocratic family. In 2015, a legal feud over Hepburn's estate erupted between his son Luca and step-son Sean Hepburn Ferrer, drawing renewed public attention to the family's tangled history.
