Amed Rosario

Germán Amed Rosario Valdez (born November 20, 1995) is a Dominican utility player who currently plays for the New York Yankees, having previously suited up for the Mets, Indians/Guardians, Dodgers, Rays, Reds, and Nationals. He debuted with the Mets in August 2017 as a top prospect, and in 2019 he led the National League in singles while struggling defensively. During the 2020 season, Rosario hit a rare walk-off home run against the Yankees—the first time a visiting player had accomplished that feat in MLB history since 1899. In January 2021, he was traded to Cleveland as part of the blockbuster deal that sent Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco to New York. That year he enjoyed a career night going 5-for-5 with five RBIs, and in 2022 he led the major leagues with nine triples and 35 infield hits. Now back with the Yankees, he brings a mix of speed, versatile defense, and power to his new club.
